Today marks a huge milestone. I have been tracking and publicly reporting my non-essential spending for an entire year. That right, for 12 months I have shared with you exactly what I have purchased, been gifted and purchased, but returned. It’s been an interesting experiment – one that had definitely kept me my mindful when reaching for my credit card, or the “submit” button on Paypal account. I’ve noticed a lot of trends, been made aware of my of my spending struggles and hopefully developed some healthier habits. I plan on creating a separate post, reflecting back on those, so for now I’ll share about July…
Two major things happened in July. First, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale; and second, I went on vacation with my newly acquired (borrowed from my Mom) Kindle. I was way overdue for a new bra and underwear, which I happily found on sale at Nordstrom. I also spent a lot at the Amazon Kindle store, as I plowed through the Matched series and All the Summer Girls while relaxing at the beach and lake. Lastly, I picked up this awesome vase at Target that goes perfectly in my office. Overall I am pretty pleased with my purchases, except I definitely need to cool it on the books department. I have SO many unread books – you’ll see in my year in review Purchase History post.
What I bought in July :: Natori bra and Hanky Panky underwear at Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (sale ends 8/5) // Matched, Crossed, and Reached by Ally Condie for Kindle // All the Summer Girls by Meg Donohue for Kindle // Nate Berkus for Target vase
