I am leaving on a jet plane tonight to go to Alt Summit in Salt Lake City. The conference doesn’t really start until Wednesday night dinner, but I got a great deal on an early flight. Plus, I’m looking forward to a little exploring time by myself before all the excitement begins. I finished packing tonight and I thought I’d go ahead and share my packing list in case anyone is stressing out about what to bring.

First off, accessories and shoes. I’m bring five pairs — two heels, one boot, my Toms and my shearling boots to wear on the plane and while outdoors. By the way, did I mention it’s something like 15 degrees in Salt Lake City right now. Whew! I am going to be cold! I also had a blast picking out my baubles. Let’s just say I’m bringing three arm parties, two statement necklaces, lots of fun earrings and some more subtle pieces for travel.

Whenever I travel I prefer to have all of my outfits picked out beforehand. I don’t like to overpack and I like to know exactly what I’m wearing. For this trip I decided to go with dresses for the evenings and blazers / jeans for day. The one exception is Wednesday night dinner. Every other night the events are inside the hotel, so I am hoping to stay nice and warm. But Wednesday night is off-site. I plan on walking and remember that whole 15 degree weather thing? So, Wednesday I am wearing some fun pants (probably with tights underneath), a top and my heavy, wool toggle coat. You can see from this photo I have lot of fun sequins, stripes and texture going on.

Lastly I needed to pack my bag that I’ll use for the conference. I found this great (and cheap) bag from Gap this past weekend and it fits my iPad, notebook, camera and other goodies perfectly. Luckily I am staying at the same hotel as the conference so I don’t have to worry about carrying too much stuff around.
