I’ve never been a big sneaker fan. I own exactly one pair of running shoes, strictly for the possibility that I may be invited to do a team-building excercise on a ropes course somewhere, someday. You have to be prepared. I don’t own any Chuck Taylors. I never jumped on that grey New Balance train. Was that a “thing” at your school? I don’t even own any Sperrys. Yes, I know they’re boat shoes, but since they have rubber shoes and laces, they fall under the “sneaker” genus, to me.

But, I have to say, as crazy as it is, I’m very interested in this whole wedge sneaker trend. I know, I know. But, I actually think they look cute in a “Hey, I’m out there in fashion, yet want to be comfortable” -kinda way. Throw them on with a  a pair of skinny jeans or leggings and a basic top and you’ve gone from blah to interesting. Still casual, yet super cool. They’ve also been looking pretty hip with shorts this summer. Hesitant? Go for a neutral taupe pair. A little braver? I highly recommend you snag up those leopard-print Rebecca Taylors.
