I’m going to be honest, sometimes I wish I was more of a hipster. Over the past few years, my style has evolved a lot and every year it seems I’m more and more attracted to the hippie-meets-rocker, with a side of tattoos, look. I can’t, and probably never will, fully commit (not only to the look, but also to the ink), but I do see myself getting further and further away from my preppy boarding school days. One way I love to inject some edge is with tribal prints. A recent trend, tribal prints, including Aztec, Ikat and Southwestern, all nod to a bohemian flair. They’re interesting without being too loud, fun without being cute, and the perfect balance of indie and edgy.
When Beckett was a newborn, I bought her this printed skirt from Ebay (originally Zara). I couldn’t wait to get it on her this fall! We has such a blast shooting this Mommy & Me look.
