Earlier this summer Rue Magazine contacted me about participating in the Gap Styld.by campaign for fall, in conjunction with Rue’s August 2012 Texas Issue. If you’re wondering, yes, I did freak out a little a lot. Playing model was so much fun. I feel honored to be a part of such a wonderful campaign for one of my favorite all-American brands.

I’ve been a longtime fan of Gap for great basics that are not only comfortable, but well-made. I’ll also let you in on a little secret, half of my pant collection is from Gap. Their 1969 denim collection fits me perfectly both in size and budget. So, I was very excited when I showed up at my photo shoot to discover that I would be modeling the 1969 ankle zip legging jeans in tropic green. I love the look with this striped peplum top from The Row, a vintage necklace and those fabulous Louboutins. However, I could only wear those 5 3/4″ heels for so long. Half-way through the shoot I had to switch to the YSL Metallic Tribute Sandal, a mere 5 1/4″ heel. Both are gorgeous.

I’m excited to share these photos from the shoot with the talented Maxine Helfman. I’m familiar with her talented work from my previous job and it was completely surreal to be on the other side of the lens. Enjoy!

A huge thank you to Crystal and the Rue Magazine team for bringing me into this campaign. It was a wonderful experience that I loved being a part of!
