When It Pours, She Reigns

Earlier this week I was lucky enough to attend a launch party for the new luxury rainwear line, She Reigns. Have you noticed that the market is seriously lacking in fashion-forward rainwear? Unless you want to fork over a fortune for a Burberry, you’re pretty much out of luck. Until now. The new She Reigns collection will keep you dry and looking fabulous (from $245), thanks to the mother-in-law / daughter-in-law duo behind this wonderful new Dallas-based brand. Personal.
Q. Where are you from? If not from Dallas, what brought you here?
A. Columbus, Ohio. I moved to Dallas to attend SMU.
Q. What favorite Blogs / magazines do you subscribe to?
A. I love all shelter mags – Elle Decor, Veranda, House Beautiful. I have trouble parting with them even after I have read them! Favorite fashion mags are Marie Claire, Lucky, Elle…just to name a few! Blogs, I could never list all of the blogs that I read there are TONS. Of course my Dallas girls, Modern Eve, Krystal Schlegel, Luella & June, The Style Scribe. Mrs. Lilien, our incredibly talented graphic designer, has a fabulous blog. The Love List, Paloma’s La Dolce Vita…I could go on and on!
Q. What’s your favorite party you’ve been to in the last 5 years?
A. I would have to say my wedding, and boy was it a party! We got married in Napa Valley, so with a destination wedding we had more of a wedding week than wedding day. It was amazing being able to spend that time with friends and family who came from far & wide to celebrate with us.
Business.
Q. How long have you owned your own business? When did you start She Reigns?
A. My Mother-in-Law and I had the idea to start She Reigns about five years ago after an unsuccessful search to find fashionable raincoats. We finally got it up and running this past summer and it’s been a whirlwind ever since!
Q. How would you describe She Reigns?
A. She Reigns is a fashion forward outerwear line that will keep you looking fabulous even on the grayest days! We wanted to create jackets that are as functional as they are fabulous.
Q. What are your dream plans for She Reigns (or future businesses)?
A. We want our name to become synonymous with fashionable rainwear and help you look chic while you stay dry.

Q. What is your favorite restaurant for brunch?
Q. What is your favorite place for drinks?
A. Marquee Grill with the girls, Al Biernats with my husband
Q. What hotel would you have friends/family stay at in Dallas?
A. The Crescent or the Ritz Carlton
Q. Who cuts and/or colors your hair?
A. Beau cuts & Molly colors, both at Osgood-O’neil on Knox…She is very patient because I want to change my color everyday!
Q. What’s one Dallas shopping secret you’ve been keeping to yourself?
A. Well I can’t tell you or it wouldn’t be a secret anymore!
