Football season has been quite uneventful for me this year. My team (Washington Redskins) and the hometown favorite (Dallas Cowboys) didn’t fair so well nor make it out of the regular season. But I’m not going to let their losing records ruin my excitement for the Superbowl this upcoming Sunday. I’ve always been a big fan of the Superbowl. Who doesn’t love a party centered around seven-layer dip?
Whenever I attend a sporting event or watch party I want to get into the spirit and show team support, but who wants a closet full of officially licensed apparel? Thanks to my friends at StripedShirt.com I can now show my team colors without, as they advertise on their website, looking like a “facepainter”. Their series of two color combination striped t-shirts allow you to match your team in style. Here I styled my red and blue (thankfully the Patriots and the Giants have the same colors) Striped Shirt with a fun dotted blouse and a pair of wide-leg pants. I’m ready for kick-off — what about you? What will you be wearing for the big game?
Update :: I completely forgot to mention my amazing messy top knot (huge trend right now) courtesy of my new blogger friend, Anna from Tulip Louise. She featured a How-To Tutorial on Simply Stated, the Real Simple blog, on Friday and now I know the secret. Make sure to check it out!
Go Team! :: Blouse: BCBG via T.J.Maxx. T-Shirt: c/o Striped Shirt. Pants: c/o Gap. Watch: Michael Kors. Earrings: Gift from Husband Lipstick: YSL.
