I have received wedding save-the-dates, wedding invitations, wedding scratch-offs, wedding magnets and even wedding Evites. But, I have never received a wedding brochure. While researching illustrators for an upcoming post, I came across Lydia Nichols‘ work for Mary and Aaron’s state park/scout themed autumn Pennsylvania wedding. Instead of a typical invitation, the couple sent guests a tri-fold brochure with an inner pocket to hold the invitation and rsvp ‘roll call’ postcard. The brochure also doubles as a map and driving/hotel information. While not every Bride and Groom theme their wedding around Yogi Bear and Yellowstone, I think the brochure idea is genius. Putting all of that information in one organized, and beautifully designed, place makes a lot of sense to me. I never understood why wedding invitations always come with like 5 sheets of paper, not including those thin tissue paper liners. What do you think? Would you ever send a wedding brochure?
