I know not everyone is a big fan of Valentine’s Day, but I’ve never been one to look down on any reason to celebrate, personally. Especially, when that reason focuses on honoring the ones you love. Dave and I usually make reservations at one of our favorite steakhouses and I’m even more excited this year, considering our time alone has become more sparse. But while I love to focus on my romantic love for Valentine’s Day, I have to admit I’m looking forward to celebrating the holiday from a child’s perspective now, too. I see afternoons of crafting classmate valentine’s and decorating heart-shaped sugar cookies in our future.
I don’t think gifts are a necessary part of Valentine’s Day. A personal note and maybe a thoughtful floral arrangement or some delicious chocolates are enough for me. But, I do like I idea of getting Beckett a small token. This year I picked her up this precious board book. I’ve been wanting to start reading to her in Spanish, so I fell in love with this bilingual read. I’m also sharing some of my other favorite Valentine’s gift ideas for babies and toddlers.
I’m curious, how do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Do you exchange gifts?
