I love to travel. Nothing gets me more excited than when I get spontaneous texts from Husband suggesting that we, say, go to London for the Olympics this summer! (Probably won’t happen). I love to explore new cities, relax on the beach, ski the mountain – I really think I could be a professional vacationer. Most often when we travel, I try to find a unique modern boutique hotel for our accommodations. But I’ve been hearing so much buzz and received numerous positive reviews about a new booking website, Airbnb, I knew I had to share. Their website describes it is as “trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations from around the world.” It’s truly an amazing business model and a very user-friendly online resource. Plus, there are some very cool homes and lofts to stay in all over the world. I may just have to check it out on our next vacation.
And if you’re tempted to list your own home / private room, Airbnb will protect it up to $1,000,000; plus they’ll send out a professional photographer to take photos of your space free of charge.
So, what do you think? Have you used Airbnb? What do you think about staying in someone’s home as opposed to a hotel?
