To be perfectly honest, it’s only been within the last year that I’ve started to feel a need for art in my life. Prior to that it felt out of reach. As if spending my time appreciating it, shopping for it or even thinking about it was no stranger than designing my own casket. I thought it would be a million years before I’d be able to appropriate funds to beautiful canvases and handmade sculptures. Art was something passed down from wealthy generation to future wealthy generation and well, we were neither of those.
So, unfortunately my walls have remained mostly bare. The “art” I do have I would love to add to my garage sale pile. It’s generic and more related my current color scheme than something that speaks to my style and soul. However, I am hoping to change that. Thankfully, through blogging, Pinterest and my late night google escapades, I have discovered many affordable ways to collect art. One of these is 20 x 200, a wonderful site whose mission is to allow everyone (including me!) to collect art, and to enable an economy that allows more artists to make a living by making work. I love it and I want you to love it, too. If you’re looking for other affordable art options, check out my Pinterest board, Art I Love.
Also, now until 6/18 11:59 pm EST use promo code RIDONK to receive 20% your orders at 20 x 200 (valid on orders $50 or more). Yay! Even more affordable art. No more excuses.
