Nursery Inspiration: Part I

// #ModernEveBaby Nursery Color Palette

Ever since sharing the news that we’re having a daughter, it seems that the thing most people want to know about is my plan for the nursery. I get it. I love interior design and getting to design a room for our baby girl is such an exciting project! I thought it might be fun to give y’all a glimpse of what I am planning.

Overall, I am hoping to create a comfortable and cheerful room that can grow with our daughter. I’ve never been into classic baby motifs or soft pastels, so I am trying to create something a little more sophisticated, but still whimsical. Just like my style, the room will include modern pieces, but also sculptural, feminine items.

The color palette is grounded with the classic contrast of black and white, but lightly accented with light pale peach, chartreuse, muted turquoise and natural maple wood. For added dimension I am also willing to throw in some pale blue-grey, mustardy yellow and pops of gold/brass.

I looks goods in my head and on paper, right? I hope I can pull it off!
