The beginning of 2013 has been off to a fun, exciting and very busy start. I’ve been out of town more than usual and my project list seems to be growing exponentially. I am not complaining (in fact, I’m very grateful), but it’s taking some time to get used to this new normal.
You’d think this busyness would keep me away from shopping and spending money, but unfortunately, some of these trips (my ski vacation, in particular) required just the opposite. Luckily, I found some great items on sale at Target, J.Crew and REI. I also picked up this simple top from Two by Vince Camuto (I am loving everything he’s putting out), as well as, my new uniform booties by Sam Edelman. I had two unsuccessful attempts with leggings, one pair velvet (not so attractive) and one tribal aztec print (too tight). Add these to the bought / returned list and we’ll try again in February.
What I bought in January :: Black suede Sam Edelman Petty Boots, on sale at Jildor Shoes // Sweater (on sale), Animal Print Turtleneck (on sale), C9 Long-Sleeve Zip, Goody Hair Elastics, NYC Liquid Lipshine, and black ankle socks from Target // Obermeyer Tuscany Ski Jacket and down ski mittens, both on sale at REI // Acrylic Business Card Holder and Wing-Lid Ornament Storage Box from The Container Store // Two by Vince Camuto top from Nordstrom // Cashmere Herringbone Sweater, on sale at J.Crew
