This living room, designed by Nate Berkus Associates, is my exactly how I would decorate my dream home. It literally gives me goosebumps every time I see it. I love the openness, the natural light and vaulted ceilings. The oversized light-fixture makes a beautiful statement without being overwhelming or distracting. The colors are calm and inviting, bold and neutral at the same time. I am crazy about the various seating spaces — something I think is so important in today’s modern homes. There’s a place for everyone in this room. Overall, I sincerely wish that I could transport myself directly into this picture, lounge on that mustard-yellow chaise with a good book. I’d probably never leave.

For this room alone, I love Nate Berkus and his design aesthetic. You may have heard (it was announced back at the beginning of May), but he has a brand new home collection that is launching Oct. 21, 2012 at Target stores and Target.com. The new signature collection will include bedding, bath, accessories, lighting, rugs and window treatments. I’m already loving the four product images released by Target (see three below) and can’t wait to see the rest of collection. Watch this video for a few more sneak peaks. Nate Berkus also currently has a branded collection available through HSN. I’ve never bought any of his pieces, but have a feeling I’ll be picking some up this Fall.
