I am sure this trend emerges every winter season for those that live in cold climates. Fur trim is about as synonymous with winter fashion as bright tunics are with summer. But this season, in particular, I’m drawn toward clothing adorned with pops of fur. Just looking at a fur pom beanie, a fur collared sweater or fur lined boots instantly makes me warmer, even if it is only a placebo effect.
Today, I am heading to the mountains of Utah for the Alt Summit conference and mini vacation, including the Sundance Film Festival and skiing. While, I should have been preparing for my Roundtable discussion, designing new business cards or cleaning up this website, I’ve been spending the past couple weeks preparing my wardrobe, which was severely lacking in snow-appropriate attire (until now).
Now, my suitcase is full of this trend! I’ve got a fur vest, SOREL boots (in black) and a fur hood trimmed ski jacket. During my trip, I’ll also be on the hunt for a fur pom pom beanie. I love the Juicy Couture one pictured above. Fair Isle + Fur = perfect winter combo!
