Last week I shared an inspiration board for my home office and today I am sharing another small room that I’ve been working on – our walk-in pantry / laundry room. As a part of a larger remodel project, we recently converted a small room off the kitchen into this functional work and storage space. It’s not very large, but it’s so nice to have an dedicated space for all of our non-perishables, extra paper goods and cleaning supplies.
The most important thing to me for this space is that it’s well organized. I know it’s crazy, but I am over the moon about my new shelving unit from The Shelving Store. I’m slowly moving all of my bulk goods into Tallfresh Storage Containers and rounding up miscellaneous snacks, bags of chips and box mixes into these beautiful Makati Baskets from The Container Store. Everything is so easily accessible. I love it! Side note: I have a crazy obsession with food storage.
I wanted to keep things simple, but not boring, so I picked this stunning kilim rug from Dash & Albert to anchor the space. And although it’s certainly unconventional for a laundry room, this orb ceiling light will make me happy when I’m doing the dreaded chore called laundry. I’m still trying to decide on some decorative accents – a framed chalkboard perhaps – but in the meantime I am quite satisfied with my modern industrial space.

ONE // This statement maxi cover up is fun way to do the beach. I love the colors and the print.
TWO // Seriously, why does Land of Nod have such awesome lamps? They’re almost too good for a kid’s room.
THREE // Gemma Redux is without a doubt one of my favorite jewelry brands. I love everything Rachel Dooley designs and this necklace is no exception.
FOUR // Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting with some of Jo Malone’s team here in Dallas. They gifted me this limited edition cologne. If you bottled spring, this would be it.
FIVE // We have a couple more week (hopefully) before it’s unbearable to be outside here in Dallas. In the meantime, gathering for outdoor picnics is the perfect social activity. Get delicious picnic recipe ideas from this beautiful cookbook.
SIX // I don’t know if I’d rather be the subject of this photograph or hang it on my wall to stare at everyday. I need some ocean in my life.
SEVEN // If you haven’t heard of the newest handbag designer, Kelly Wynne, head over to her site and check it out. Her branding, fabrics, hardware and designs are pretty much perfection.
EIGHT // This anchor bottle opener is the perfect summer bar cart accessory.
NINE // I’m sorry – a leather cooler! It may be expensive, it may be impractical, but shoot, this thing is cool.
TEN // Dear black banded sandals, I would like you on my feet. Thank you.
Wedge sneakers have the object of my affection for about a year now. In fact, back in August 2012, I featured them in a Trend Spotted roundup. Memorial Day is fast approaching and I’m starting to feel a little patriotic. Every summer, here in The States, designers appeal to our country pride with designs full of red, white and blue, stars and stripes, and images of the good ‘ole American flag. This year is no exception. I’ve pulled together some my favorite all-american pieces to help you get in the spirit. These items are perfect for Memorial Day and of course the Fourth of July. But don’t delay, come the end of June these items will surely be sold out.
